Is the Morning After Pill a type of abortion?

Not even slightly. Emergency contraception only works by delaying ovulation, so that sperm don’t get a chance to fertilise the egg. This is why the morning after pill becomes less and less effective the longer you delay getting it. If ovulation or fertilisation has already occurred, no method of emergency contraception can change that.
